This was a truly fantastic cruise with stops in:

  • San Juan, Puerto Rico

  • Phillibsburg, St Maarten

  • Labadee, Haiti

This was the first cruise where we had three full days at sea.  I wasn't exactly sure that I would like those days at sea.  Turned out that they were really incredible as it gave us a chance to relax, check out all the great features of the ship, and hang out with our friends that came on board with us.  To start, we flew in American Airlines the day before the cruise on the 9th of May.  I didn't take any pictures of the aircraft this time but then again, American Airlines is really American Airlines.  The flight was rather uneventful on the way down, didn't include any immenities, and charged for snacks which really turns us off.  We are used to Southwest with their liberal policies and free snacks.  Oh well.

We stayed at a Courtyard by Marriott in Miami by the airport which was cheap and comfy:

Then we went ahead and took a shuttle to the Port of Miami from the hotel which turned out a bit pricey at $15 a head.  Should have demanded a taxi but, I think the hotel had their hand in the shuttle companies back pocket.

Arrived in the port to sign in, get our set sail passes, and hop aboard!

Sailaway party and we're off...

That was pretty much it for the first night besides a bunch of crazy rowdy kids at dinner, some wine, and sleep!
